But it’s time that you look at yourself and think about your experience and the value that it could have to someone who wants the same experience you have…but faster.
Gone are the days where you have to be a college professor to teach a high level course on something.

For your creative business, the most effective strategy is to target keywords that are searched by people that are as ready to buy as possible. Terms that are associated with alleviating some sort of pain are a good way to start.
At the end of the day people generally are only online to look for solutions to their problems. If your content provides solutions while entertaining, educating, empowering and inspiring, you will have people coming back until they are ready to buy from you.

This is why it’s important for you to be genuine, and create useful content. People are always looking for information to share and with social media it has the chance to spread on it’s own.
The beautiful thing about blogging is that when you post something, it doesn’t go away. It’s in the online universe forever or at least until you delete it. In a way it actually gets more effective the older it is. Social media can be used to keep your old posts alive. You can schedule your tweets with Buffer or Hootsuite to keep your best posts in rotation for maximum exposure.

That’s the best reason to blog isn’t it? You don’t have to pay to sit down and write. You don’t have to pay to make a slideshow or share a YouTube video. It really is the best benefit to blogging.
And like I mentioned before, search engine traffic is somewhat passive, but only after you’ve built your blog with great content.
You can actually pay someone to write articles for your blog if writing is not your strong point. There is nothing wrong with that and it’s recommended that you hire staff writers at some point anyway. But at the end of the day, you are the voice of your creative business and it’s important that you speak to your audience and connect with them personally.
I know from my personal experience that getting started is the hardest part. Sitting down in front of your computer, while avoiding all of the distractions of the internet is seemingly impossible at first. But once you get started it gets easier and easier….trust me.
